desert to look for a ball and as I turn over my left shoulder I see him reach down to pick up his ball and I yelled at him "snake!" His ball was like a foot from a pretty decent sized rattle snake that he didn't see at all. He has terrible vision. But those ****ers blend in.

It didn't rattle at all. Needless to say we stopped going in to the desert to look for balls. Later that trip we heard one rattle real loud...and we were just on the edge of the desert area. When they rattle you know.
