As for judges- if the opposite party nominated , they would have to be confirmed by the majority. Although not foolproof the idea is that judges who understand the law would get more appointments instead of the legislating from the bench idiotlogues that are the staple nowadays.
Given that the best outlook for republicans is they are a minority party for the coming decades, you would think you would welcome it,
As for IGs it would ensure things are not swept under the rug (as easily) as they are now. But ensure
that things are run much better than they are.
They would still be required to prove any misconduct that they uncover.
