The stereotype of the evil plantation owner is lazy and false. Many slave owners saw that their slaves were well fed, educated and treated well. It is such a lazy misrepresentation by our educational system. Once more for clarity. Owning other humans is wrong. We needed to right that. But the notion all slaves were miserable and that all slave owners were cruel is simply wrong.

Please explain why this message is being reported.
