Was reading some stories on Aunt Jemina and stuff like that..and how it truly was a story, and how the whole image was completely contrived.

I can agree they were not all bad perse...but in many ways...just like cops..they were going to keep their power..and you were literally their property.

I guess that might also be the equivalent of saying someone was happy under Saddam or a communist regime.
