Ranking NCAA eligibility options...

It looks like a final decision on spring athletes eligibility could come as early as next week. So while an important subcommittee has recommended everyone, freshmen through seniors, gets a do-over year, will be interesting to see where they finally land after thinking through the roster and scholarship implications.
Ranking the possible decisions from best to worst (and they all have pros and cons):
Best: Say tough luck to the seniors, the half season in 2020 counts as your last year, move on with your lives. And say sorry to everyone else that played this year in any other class, 2020 counted towards your 4 years also, you end up with 3.5 years of playing time through extraordinary bad luck, and everyone moves up a class like they would have if the crisis hadn’t happened.
Bad: 2020 seniors only are granted a do-over year, but 2020 counts against the remaining eligibility for freshmen, sophomores, and juniors. Blatantly unfair to the underclassmen, but limits the bloated rosters to just a 1 year impact.
Worst: 2020 doesn’t count against anyone who played in 2020, everyone stays in place, and the incoming freshman class artificially bloats rosters for the next 4 years, causing all kinds of bad consequences as for the next 4 seasons every team fits 5 recruiting classes into their rosters that are meant to only hold 4 recruiting classes.
