The assistant coaches are still recruiting players to the head coach's program. If they were the head coach, it would look different.

Consider Quin Snyder. While he did land some good talent when he was the Tigers' head coach, it wasn't on the same level of recruiting of Duke when he was there under Krzyzewski.

Do you have a link proving that Kim Anderson forbade his assistants from recruiting?
