two possibilities here and their ramifications. We can also evaluate the probabilities as to which is true and which is false. They cannot both be true and they cannot both be false, of course. We can also contemplate the ramifications of each of them being true or false.

A. There is a God

B. There is no God

2. I think your analogy is a false one. There is no evidence whatsoever that there is a monster in your closet, but logic and reason point to the existence of God.
