for personal benefit, or was it requested as a proper part of his job description?
I've been making this point for some time.
There was no mention of a "political opponent"; nor was the a mention of "the 2020 election".
The request was void of any such reference.
There was a very public narrative about Biden extracting a personal benefit, the cessation of a criminal inquiry, which was extorted by threatening the withholding of the U.S. taxpayers' money.
