by both the ACC and the SEC before Mizzou applied for membership and was accepted. The SEC would never accept a school that they had already rejected. The SEC would never, ever accept a school that had already been rejected by the ACC.
WVU would never had been next in line.
The SEC wanted aTm badly to gain access to the Texas market. As much as Mizzou owes aTm a debt for creating an opportunity for Mizzou to join the SEC, I wonder if the SEC would have gone forward with aTm if they didn’t have Mizzou already lined up?
