and basketball program. Elite in neither but respected in both.
And let's face it, football is king in college sports. That's why no one wanted KU or UConn.
You're kidding yourself if you think the Big12 is an elite conference. How many national titles has it won in FB or BB in the past decade? How many television providers carry the Big12 Network? (oh wait, it doesn't exist)
Your league is a poor man's Pac-12, without the tradition or elite academics.
