I think the claim that people are just lazy and leach off of the welfare system is crap. They are poor, they have few resources to help them out....The Dems come around and offer them a path...the problem is..it is a path to no where, and they get stuck where they are at.
the Reoublicans want to remove what path there is and do nothing...what happens..they then turn to other ways to make some money...gangs, selling illegal stuff, etc.....which then lands them in jail because of the hard lines the Republicans take on crime....now you have dad in jail (not helping family) and mom at home in a neighborhood full of crime..no way to both get a job and get her kid taken care of.
one side comes in with a little handout..the other side calls you a leech to society.
The kids further suffer and the cycle goes on.
Both sides are responsible for it.
