I dispute that just because someone is a certain race or religion or gender or political affiliation, they're part and parcel with that culture.
Not every black doctor, lawyer, whatever was a product of affirmative action. And there are just as many whites that hold degrees as a result of the "good ol' boys" club where they got in because of name or connections. Are they more capable just because they're white?
"It's a black thing, you wouldn't understand" relates to the fact that I didn't live it. I might be able to empathize or comprehend it, but I don't understand it the way they do. Just like I can understand how childbirth works, but I'll never experience what a woman goes through in delivering a child.
I don't think the races are exactly equal, but I do believe that they're CAPABLE of being equal. Just like I think there are Muslims who are peaceful and those who are not.
