and let me start by giving you kudos for working in "paladin" - helluva show back in the day.
I don't know you, other than from your posts, so I don't know if you're a racist or not. You are, however, as indicated by the frequency and the repetitiveness of your posts, fixated on race. You admit that fixation by stating that you think it's the "most important issue" - why? It's just skin color.
You may have extremely valid points when it comes to cultural discussions, and those cultures may be largely identified by racial make-up, but you're not "treating everyone the same" despite your claims.
For example, you assume that the black Yale graduate is a product of affirmative action. Why? Maybe he had a parent that made him study hard and achieve. It's one thing to stand up and address your own shortcomings, it's another to project shortcomings onto an individual without knowing whether they're capable, incapable or otherwise. I don't think blacks are dumb and need to be protected, I think you're taking a dumb position.
And no, I probably wouldn't send my daughter to an all-black school. I also didn't send her to an all-white school. We discussed alternatives and chose her schools based on getting a quality education that would serve her for life as well as offering the pursuits that she was interested in.
I don't know the skin color of a doctor before I go. I typically don't know what school they attended. Maybe I don't do enough research on that. Who knows. I choose doctors by specialty or need. But if I see a black one or an indian one or a white one, I don't automatically assume that they went to an inferior school or even that going to a better school makes them a better doctor.
And, in no way do I think or project that I'm better than you by pointing out your fixation with race. I'm just pointing out to you that I find it tiresome that you couch everything in terms of race. For what it's worth.
