That is a legal and within the rules way of recruiting talent, every program is given 3 assistant coaches positions which they can staff in whatever manner they want (had to restrict it to actual assistants to close the loophole exposed by Mario Chalmer's father).
MU was not found guilty of any major infractions, and they put themselves on probation. You seem to be attempting to give a valid example of how desperate the situations were treated where a minor issue was met with considerable repercussions for one program and where longstanding vast improprieties are exposed in another and nothing happens.
