Yeah, at some point Title IX would rear its head and the women's lacrosse team will have to be paid too. Also, not sure how it would work from a financial standpoint. If the larger universities had to spend a significant part of their athletic budgets on salaries for players, then they have less money for uniforms, travel, staff, etc. So, for some schools, say a Coastal Carolina or Tulsa or SEMO, at what point does it become a loss and not worth doing? There are just so many variables here and unanswered questions. It would be more equitable for the athletes for sure, but would it end up killing college sports altogether?
