workers vote for union membership it is forced on the owner. Then through the power of collective bargaining the unions force the owners to make it a closed shop.

I actually agree with you somewhat. If an owner wishes to have a union business then I have no problem with it being an open or closed shop. BUT the workers should not have the power to force that issue. They currently do.
