the business owner has property rights; the jobs belong to him, not to employees. as owner he has every right to make union membership a condition of employment. Prop A would force him to take that choice away. if the prospective employee (or current employee) doesn’t want to join the union, then he can get another job somewhere else. no one is forcing him to work
