Starting over might be our only option... I feel that Odom missed his chance to ingrain himself into the state and fan base. He has lost the confidence of the masses and many hard core football fans and High school coaches.
His tenure so far has been a comedy of errors and poor press. He is not overly charismatic nor a guy who has a natural swagger so he needed from the get go to win and prove he was a Business minded disciplined tactician of a coach who made wise well thought out decisions.
BO has clearly shown the fan base just the opposite and thus lost any good will or confidence he had for being a true son. In my experience short of a massive string of winning seasons or winning a conference title it's hard to win back people who have already decided a coach was inept. The die was cast after the bowl loss for many.
I've seen this happen to coaches who actually are dang good and have bad breaks or circumstances early one that derailed that communities or Fan bases confidence. Once this happens it is almost impossible to regain.....even win that coach wins if he comes up short of a title many think or believe is inept coaching ability is the reason for coming up short.
