Very bad arguments re going pro, college, education....

It does not logically follow that a kid going pro does not, therefore, value education. For that argument to go through, you'd have to assume that playing basketball in college at a high D1 level is conducive to obtaining a high quality education. That is not a valid assumption.
It does not logically follow that a kid who has been home schooled therefore, by virtue of that experience, values a college experience, a college degree, or specifically a college degree earned while playing high level D1 basketball.
It does not logically follow that playing high level D1 basketball is the best developmental path for the NBA for every player. The counter examples are clearly too numerous to detail.
