He was responsible for a pre-game opponent scout. The assistant coaches share scouting responsibilities during the season, each taking specific games. He also mentioned working primarily with the bigs and specifically discussed the improvement Nikko had made. I don't know his specific in-game responsibilities but each coach looks to carry some specific role as you can observe them tracking something on clipboards. So my best guess is he shares scouting responsibilities, he works with big man, and he's responsible for some specific in-game area.
