higher than STL & substantially higher the Detroit.

Not wanting casual readers to be confused & misled, I offer the facts!

Detroit & STL rank #1 & #2 as the top 2 safest Metros in the Top 50 largest Metros!

KC is nowhere to the top of that list as anyone can see below.

STL & KC are also virtually tied in terms of crime rate for the Inner 20% of their Metros as anyone can see below & that inner 20% is where 98% of STL’s Crime Rate is (the City of St. Louis - a couple of enclaves in the City primarily).

However, as anyone can also see below, KC’s exponentially more widespread Crime Rate, which greatly contributes to it’s much higher Crime Rate ranking than St. Louis!

KC’s own paper is echoing what Tigrrrr is stating. KC can’t even get a handle on the out of control Crime, including Violent Crime - in fact. Homicides, which certainly qualify as Violent Crime, are at the heart of KC’s rising crime epidemic, as the KC Star’s article clearly states. They have a really low “Clearance Rate” to boot. Far below the National Average - not enough law enfirecement to address the exploding Crime problem, along with the factor Tigrrrr mentions. From the KC Star just months ago:

Here are the facts according to FBI Statistics (STL 2nd Safest Metro. KC significantly higher, much more widespread Crime Rate, including Violent Crime, than both STL & Detroit. The ignorant, “complex” riddled, fake narrative notwithstanding!
