Proving the guy lied to the FBI can be used by other defense counsel and in fact typically is used to impeach the testimony used in the flip. And in fact the veracity of the witness used is a key component to their testimony. Flynn is a decorated military man, which rehabilitates any impeachment as to his character or motive for providing testimony.
