Driving carelessly and killing someone is bad... but not as bad as deliberately killing someone.

An ambulance driver driving someone to a hospital in emergency mode and killing someone is also bad, but culpability for that death is probably greatly reduced... sometimes even to the point that they are not morally culpable for it.
