to make the tourney strictly from the core transitioned to him and due to the rebuilding efforts of the prior staff. No coach could have done that.

Kim didn't fail entirely because he was so bad at coaching, he decimated the program in nearly every means possible. This is a massive rebuild that is needed just to get the program back to respectability.
