If you are in 'breeding age' and elect not to take the pregnancy coverage, you better use great contraception, or you are in your pocket.

If your company doesn't cover pregnancy in their standard options, the insurance company will offer it at your cost. AT least, that's what Blue Cross did when I worked for a consulting company 20 years ago. Why would it be different now?
