he could turn out to be a good coach.

That being said, I don't think Mack tried very hard on the hire, and I also think that Odom is learning on the job.

Also, I realize that we have had success under Pinkel at recruiting underappreciated players and making them good. I think we need to step that up quite a lot and actually start landing heavily coveted players, or we're not going to have great success in the SEC.

Odom has a great opportunity to show he can coach at this level, win this year, and then land a bunch of the MO recruits. If he cannot do that, he may have a big problem.
