low mark that would have been acceptable to consider retaining him. Anything below that and its really a non-starter without admitting you have given up on men's basketball and considerably lowered the benchmarks of expectations so a lesser candidate has a chance to hit them.
16 wins would have gotten any normal candidate fired without anyone questioning it.
