His SoS is pretty low among major conferences. He is winless against top 50 teams.
His last team at SMS, that won the Valley, only gave up 63 ppg. Does not mean his defense was great. He plays a slow pace.
I understand you are reference Kenpom's D-efficiency to say that they're top 10 and that theoretically takes pace of play out of the equation. But there is always more to it that stats. Does he still have his center trap beyond the top of the key and routinely get beat down the lane for layups trying to recover?
