He should have had someone monitoring his progress and attendance rather directly. Instead we found out he was not going to class and needed to be dismissed. That just isn't the way a normal major program handles things with the resources at their disposal.
These aren't one off scenarios. There are now 12 examples of guys who didn't respect Kim, couldn't play for Kim, or didn't want to for various reasons. I don't subscribe to the notion that is the primary reason he has failed, to me his poor coaching and lack of an overall plan has been much more detrimental, but it certainly is a major factor.
