country at Memphis, when in fact none of them were even in the top 25.
I did my research last year and concluded that Odom lacked the experience and qualifications to run an SEC program. He had ZERO experience as a head coach (sans High School), and had ONE (1) year of experience as a DC at the P5 level. He had some success as a DC at Memphis but that was only a few years and nothing spectacular, plus it appeared that Memphis's success was more about their offense and head coach Fuente.
After researching all the realistic options, I concluded that Matt Rhule was the best available, and stated my case at the time:

As it turns out, Rhule is having another good season at Temple, and Odom is having one of the worst seasons of all-time at MU (in fact, on track to be THE losingest season of all-time, tied with Woody Widenhofer's 1985 disaster of 10 losses).
