pedigree isn't awe-inspiring. So yeah, he's got something to prove and like you, I think he'll do a good job this year. He's got a great personality, so you couple that with success in the SEC and he'll be a good seller.
I think what we're seeing with DL recruiting may start snowballing on the OL. Once recruits see guys in the league, they want to come here. It's really mind blowing to think that Mitch Morse is really the first guy we've had in decades to get drafted and stick in the NFL as a quality starter, unless I'm just completely missing someone. Barnes of course, but he was a FA. I know Colin Brown made the Chiefs practice squad for a year or two, but never played and I don't believe was drafted.
Now we not only have Morse, but can add Boehm and McGovern as guys drafted out of this program. Certainly throw Barnes in there, too. But all-in-all, it's been pretty damn sad the lack of NFL quality OL we've not been able to produce. Had some great success with those guys, but need to go after and shore up the Rod Johnson's and Ifedi's.
