shape when he left, right? It wasn't perfect but it was built pretty much exactly the way you describe using 4-year players. He had 2 freshmen signed, 3 sophomores, 3 juniors (counting Punter), and a senior and only one of those players was a transfer. The classes were balanced, and he was probably going to add a couple of late spring freshmen to the roster to give us a solid freshmen and sophomore class, just like you claim we have now. Frank had an over-reliance on transfers early but that was mainly because he had to turnover 11 players in his first 2 years. But by the time he hit his 3rd year, he was getting mainly 4-year players.
