to build a program, a foundation, instead of going after multiple risky transfers
For short term gain. The program bottomed out because Haith put job security over the health of the program. Now we have a solis soph and frosh classes to build on. My point is beyond wins and losses, the next coach had to build the program and now we will see how good these players are and how well they develop. Because the program was so broken it's been difficult to attract highly ranked players, but we have to hope a couple of them exceed expectation. Yes, a more established coach could ha ove turned it around quicker, Howland, but whoever was picked was going to have to clean house and start on the bottom rung. Not saying KA has done a fine job, but saying he has attempted to build a program with four year players, a necessityp to the long term health of MU basketball.
