I will qualify that with saying that the video I saw of the incident conveniently skipped over the actual shooting incident itself. Not sure if they just edited it out because they thought it was too graphic, or if there was a different motive. Even still, the video I saw that purportedly led up to the shooting showed the guy laying on his back with his hands raised and it was hard to imagine a justified reason for shooting the guy unless he did something to be come aggressive or cause a situation of confusion. Again, not saying this happened, because in this case it seems like it likely did not, but I have said repeatedly that you should not jump to conclusions about these things, and it would be hypocritical to go back on that now. All of these things deserve a chance to be investigated. I suspect that this one may end up with a harsh report toward the officer's actions. So be it if he was wrong.
