He left because he saw how terrible we were, and how underprepared and overwhelmed the staff was. Seems to me chemistry was used as an explanation because he is a classy guy, but it was rather obvious watching him play in the role we put him in he was extremely frustrated and didn't see much of a future for success or growth.

The program he committed to, and all the reasons he came to MU, were no longer there. In retrospect he showed great foresight leaving when he did.
