I think that back when I grew up in the 90's it (athleticism?) was more of a bell shaped curve in its distribution amongst males.

Compared to then, I'd say the average athletic ability for high school males is waaaaay less, AND I'd say the athletic ability of the top 5% is waaaayyy higher.

The best are way better at a lot of stuff than the best were in the 1990's.

But most of us were decent at most stuff.
