China has lowered their tariffs over time.

The best way to combat them is to make agreements with India, Vietnam and their neighbors that are better than china.

I never predicted huge inflation. I understand the dumb Trump tariffs were temporary, but as predicted they helped change the narrative as to what a good deal is. And he got a whole group of anti tax people on board and bragging about tariff revenue
