I get that. I am not saying that Trump does not necessarily want lower tariffs. In my opinion his negotiation tactics have sucked so far. And now he has added in things like the trade deficit affecting tariff rates as well as wanting to increase tariffs to increase domestic production as well.

Why not focus on just reducing tariffs that will help both the consumer here as well as companies or industries (like agriculture) that are competitive on the international level.
