I'm not looking at this solely from Trump's perspective.
I'm not a fan of tariffs. I'm not a fan of Trump's bloviating, bombastic, over-the-top style of negotiating or communicating.
I am in favor of leveraging the US consumer economy for better trade and other deals (border enforcement, cartels, fentany, other human issues).
I never, ever expected meaningful new trade deals within 3-6 months with adversarial trade partners.
I get it. There's pain and I'm not blind to it. I'm reacting to the "TACO" bull$hit when the same people scream that new deals ARE done and tariffs ARE in place - meaning he hasn't "chickened out".
