My wife was at Hen House last Sunday when suddenly the cart wouldn't go--wheels locked up. A woman had to respond and "unlock" the cart as it had auto-locked to prevent shoplifting.


The last time that happened at another store, the unexpected jolt from the abrupt stop caused my wife to pull a muscle in her upper leg. She swore she'd never shop at that store again and hasn't.

They won't let store employees deal with shoplifters but instead resort to this passive-aggressive solution of electronic carts which lock up unexpectedly.

Penalize everyone because a few people are willing to rob you blind.
