You see the Covenant was a contract. If Israel makes good on the laws and rules of righteous living as laid out by God, then Israel remains the Chosen. If they abandon those rules then the Covenant is broken. If a stranger comes into your land, treat him as one of your own for you were once strangers in a land. Israel, in opposition to their God, has oppressed the Palestinians (aka the Philistines, Summaritans and Canaanites) for many decades now. That oppression, theft of land and gee Beav, Genocide severs the Covenant. So NO, God does not look favorably upon the US (for any of a number of reasons) but per its relations to Israel, not at all.
