Two party binary system. Trump ruined the Republican Party, it has no relationship with what it was and certainly isn’t conservative. It’s just MAGA, and the followers are 1000% committed. Further stupidity and failure only strengthens their allegiance. Similarly democrat isn’t progressive, it’s just “not that”. 77 million people didn’t vote for Biden, about 75 million people voted not Trump. When the justice and political system failed and he returned many just said f this pointless ****, I’m out. Most democrats are barely loosely aligned with the party, they are just bright enough and decent enough to be not MAGA and that is the only alternative choice. If another legitimate option existed probably 75% of democrats would move away from that party and be “not that” to MAGA from that position
