do not have the concept original or individual. Our views on it are shaped by Plato. The west sees a reproduction as having lesser value than the original. Chinese thought sees everything as multilayered, multiform. More akin to open source software, where no one owns a product but all can contribute to shaping it.
I don’t know if it can be assumed Chinese students who come here and study then return home even understand the differences in western thought. Especially if they were never exposed to Greek and later western philosophy where there is significant focus on being.
