and your assertion that a seminary was built by slaves owned by some ordained ministers, even if true, still does not back up your false premise regarding Church dogma.
The bottom line is that the Church, despite flawed human members, was still a force moderating against the most evil tendencies of pagan society.
In the US, the Church had saints and missionaries caring for the slaves coming off ships in port cities and were at the forefront of movements to free the slaves and to end slavery.
In St. Louis, as elsewhere, it was the Catholic schools that integrated 1st. Public schools did not to so until years later.
