conservative to be a strong proponent of big government bureaucrats deciding where a countries resources should be spent and on deciding who the winners and losers are in selecting who gets to spend the resources and in what ways... especially someone who has been very critical of Trump not being conservative enough.

You use many of the same arguments communists and socialists use as to why governments need to confiscate resources from the citizens to spend in a "better" manner than the individuals free market would do... individuals managing resources that they had earned or who had been designated to manage them for others who had earned them.
