Getting the best from the state is crucial (low hanging fruit), the out of state recruiting of top talent has been non existent unless they have past tie to the program. The transfer portal is critical and only a couple have ever been impact players, Gallagher, Chaumont, Ebbs, the rest have been bench fill in players mostly. Top teams have 3-4 every year that have major impacts. Maybe NIL has some effect but the excuses have to stop and look for the common thread.
