The only path to victory for Ukraine requires US troops on the ground, that is NOT going to happen.
With victory off the table the only option open to Ukraine is to end the war in the most palatable way possible. That will likely require them conceding some land to Russsia. VZ and the leaders in Ukraine simply need to decide how many more Ukrainian lives they are willing to spend before finally accepting this nasty fact.
