"a completely separate entity" and had to pay rent to the University for things like the Hearnes Center. I was told this was a huge disadvantage to Mizzou because schools like Nebraska had everything folded together and paid a huge part of the athletic program out of student fees and tuition. So who knows? Maybe things changed or that info was inaccurate.
