I use the term bracketology to describe the process of seeding teams, whether done by Joe Lunardi or the committee itself.
It's about placing each team with an expectation that they will lose at a certain point, the top four seeds are expected to make the final four and the top seed is expected to win it all.
Everyone else is supposed to lose.
Losers get excited by a 'high seed'.
Future champions say 'we're just this huh? we'll see about that'
And then they never abandon that attitude throughout the whole process, regardless of what happens.
