accomplishment as it is a prediction of when the team is going to lose.
Right now most basketball minds have Mizzou winning probably one tournament game, regardless of how the season ends or where they are seeded.
The real question is: how high does this team get when it wins - regardless of opponent.
Champions take no prisoners - they adopt the mindset that unless they win it all they are losers - and they HATE LOSING, they hate losing even more than they want to win, and there's a difference.
So is this team pretty happy with themselves after beating a fairly mediocre GA squad?
Or have they already moved on, ready to destroy Alabama?
Because regardless of the press or winning streaks or even an NCAA win or two, the rest of college basketball considers Mizzou generally to be just a hair above mid-major trash.
Even more important than taking it personal is understanding that limited praise, the likes of which you get after a win, is just another flavor of disrespect.
'For who you played and for who you are - you did pretty good tonight.' Gross.
Any team that claims 'We can be whatever we want to be' better be takin' it personal all the way to the final four - or they'll end up being what most Mizzou squads end up being - a freakin' jelly donut.
